Before I begin to explain the project, I must clarify that the ideation process took place within the collaborative framework of CO-UX IV.

Talkwa is an application that provides real-time audio to text transcriptions, designed for people with hearing disabilities. It enables effective communication by converting spoken conversations into text, facilitating interaction in various situations.
Talkwa se diferencia de las aplicaciones tradicionales de transcripción al enfocarse en eventos en vivo. Los oradores tienen la posibilidad de permitir que las personas con discapacidad auditiva puedan leer en tiempo real lo que se está diciendo. Esto elimina la necesidad de que los oyentes dependan de aplicaciones que tomen el audio desde una ubicación lejana. En su lugar, el orador tendrá su dispositivo móvil cerca de él, y la transcripción se enviará al oyente basándose en el sonido emitido por el orador durante el evento.
All of this happened within the context of CO-UX IV.
In this project, my role along with my colleagues was to conceive solutions and improvements in the application. Our primary task was to create questions (Action - user - purpose) in order to later refine them and select the ones that were closest to the users' motivations.
Some of the most important ideas
Criteria:
We want to enable the option of synthesizing the transcription for the viewer.
Scenario for Ideation:
How could we enable deaf individuals to synthesize the transcription of the speaker for better understanding?
Idea:
The app should be connected to an AI like ChatGPT, which, when it exceeds a certain number of characters, sends and synthesizes the ongoing conversation. (as long as the speaker allows it)
Criteria:
We want to implement accessibility tools (contrast, font size, spacing, etc).
Ideation Scenarios:
How could we implement accessibility tools (contrast, font sizes, spacing, etc) to make it readable, easy, and adaptable to the preferences and needs of each user?
Idea:
Adding the ability to choose font size, color, and spacing in the settings.
Providing the option to increase or decrease font size during transcription.
Offering an accessibility menu where users can customize various aspects, such as font size (small/medium/large), contrast, light and dark themes.
Criteria:
We want to add the functionality to save the transcription, allowing users to save it on their device or share it with another app.
Ideation Scenarios:
We want to add the functionality to save the transcription, allowing users to save it on their device or share it with another app. (combining two scenarios into one)
Idea:
After finishing the event, there should be an option to "Save transcription." We would add a "Library" section where the transcriptions are saved by event name and date.
It should have the option for automatic saving of transcriptions.
